Introduction
Kris Mahjong Remastered is a modernized version of the classic tile-matching game, Kris Mahjong. This refreshed edition, developed by Feig Ltd., brings updated graphics, polished tile designs, soothing music, and addictive gameplay to the table. Unlike traditional Mahjong, which involves complex rules and strategies, Kris Mahjong Remastered simplifies the experience into a fast-paced “Mahjong Connect” style puzzle.
The game features colorful tiles adorned with food-themed icons like gumballs, fries, cupcakes, and fruits, making it visually appealing and engaging. The objective is to clear the board by matching identical tiles within a time limit, with each successful match rewarding you with extra time to keep the challenge going.
How to play
Controls
- On a computer, use your mouse to left-click a tile to select it, then click its matching tile to remove the pair.
- On mobile devices, tap the tiles with your finger to select and match them.
Game setup
- The game begins with a board filled with tiles featuring various food items.
- A time meter (usually displayed as a bar) shows how much time you have left. It decreases steadily but can be replenished by making matches.
Matching rules
- Find two tiles with the same image (e.g., two cupcakes or two bananas).
- Tiles can only be matched if they can be connected by an imaginary line with no more than two 90-degree turns (right-angle bends).
- The connecting path must not pass through other tiles, unless the two tiles are directly next to each other (adjacent), in which case they can be matched regardless of a path.
- Only “free” tiles can be selected—those that aren’t blocked by other tiles on both their left and right or top and bottom.
Time management
- You start with a limited amount of time.
- Each successful match adds a small amount of extra time to the meter, helping you stay in the game longer.
- If the time runs out before the board is cleared, the game ends.
Special features
- If you get stuck and can’t find any matches, look for a “shuffle” button (often a circular arrow). Clicking it rearranges the tiles, giving you new matching opportunities.
- The game progresses through levels, with each level cleared leading to a new layout of tiles.
