Pocket Pac retains the core essence of the original 1980 arcade game created by Namco while enhancing it with updated graphics and streamlined gameplay suited for quick, on-the-go sessions. The objective remains simple yet addictive: guide the cheerful yellow character, Pac-Man, through a maze to eat all the dots while dodging relentless ghost-like monsters.
How to play
Controls:
- Desktop: Use the arrow keys (up, down, left, right) to move Pac-Man through the maze.
- Mobile: Swipe on the screen in the direction you want Pac-Man to go. The touch controls are intuitive for handheld play.
Gameplay
- Regular dots: Munch these small yellow dots to earn points. They’re the key to progressing through the level.
- Monsters: Avoid the colorful monsters roaming the maze. If they catch Pac-Man, the game ends (or you lose a life)
- Super dots: These larger, glowing dots are power-ups. Eating one temporarily makes the monsters vulnerable (turning them blue), allowing Pac-Man to chase and eat them for bonus points.
- Fruit bonuses: Occasionally, fruits appear in the maze. Collect them for extra points to boost your score.
