Introduction
2048 is a simple yet addictive single-player puzzle game created by Gabriele Cirulli in 2014. The game is played on a 4×4 grid, where the objective is to combine numbered tiles to reach the elusive 2048 tile. It’s a test of strategy, foresight, and a bit of luck. The game’s minimalist design and challenging mechanics have made it a popular brain teaser worldwide.
Hown to play
Controls
- Use your arrow keys to move the tiles. When two tiles with the same number touch, they merge into one!
Merging Tiles
- When two tiles with the same number collide while moving, they merge into a single tile with double the value (e.g., two 2s become a 4, two 4s become an 8, and so on).
- Tiles only merge once per move.
Adding New Tiles
- After each move, a new tile (either a 2 or 4) spawns in a random empty spot on the grid.
Objective
- Keep merging tiles to create larger numbers, with the ultimate goal of reaching the 2048 tile.
- You can continue playing beyond 2048 to achieve an even higher score if you wish.
Game Over
- The game ends when the grid is full (no empty spaces) and no more moves are possible (i.e., no adjacent tiles with the same value can merge).
