Introduction
Dynamons 10 is the latest installment in the popular Dynamons series, a monster-collecting and battling game that draws inspiration from classics like Pokémon. Released in January 2025, this action-adventure game introduces players to a vibrant new world filled with unique creatures called Dynamons.
Dynamons 10 takes you on an exciting journey through two fresh areas: the mystical Gold Temple World and the enigmatic Bonus Cave. Your goal is to become the ultimate Dynamon Captain by capturing, training, and battling with a diverse roster of Dynamons, including special ones like Tyrexar, Tyceratox, Cobragora, Pterodanox, Knightanyx, and the powerful Diamond Guardian.
How to play
When you begin, you’ll be guided by Professor Jovani, a seasoned expert who introduces you to the basics. You’ll select your first Dynamon from a few options. Each has unique abilities tied to elements like fire, water, electric, or others, so pick one that suits your playstyle.
Exploring the World
- Navigate the map: The game features an overworld map with circles marking locations. Click or tap these to move to new areas, encounter wild Dynamons (indicated by exclamation points), or challenge rival trainers (marked by characters).
- Progression: Winning battles unlocks more of the map, leading you to tougher opponents and boss fights, such as those in the Gold Temple or Bonus Cave.
Capturing Dynamons
- Find Wild Dynamons: Wild Dynamons appear in various locations. Engage them in battle to weaken them.
- Weaken and Capture: Use your Dynamon’s attacks to lower the wild Dynamon’s health (HP) without knocking it out. When it’s weak, use a “Discatch” (the game’s capture device) to catch it and add it to your team.
- Team building: You can carry a limited number of Dynamons in your active party (typically three), with extras stored in reserves.
Battling mechanics
- Turn-Based combat: Battles are 1v1, with you and your opponent taking turns. You’ll face wild Dynamons or rival trainers’ teams.
- Elemental strategy: Each Dynamon belongs to an element (e.g., fire, water, electric, shadow). Learn their strengths and weaknesses:
- Fire beats Plant but loses to Water.
- Water beats Fire but is weak to Electric.
- Electric beats Water but struggles against Plant.
- Shadow and other types have their own interactions.
- Action cards: During your turn, choose from your Dynamon’s attack cards (displayed on-screen). These range from basic moves to powerful special attacks. Some cards may also apply effects like healing or buffs.
- Switching dynamons: If your current Dynamon is at a disadvantage, switch to another from your party to gain the upper hand.
