How to play
Controls
- Mouse: Use it to aim your cannon. Move the cursor to adjust the angle and distance of your shot, then click to fire a cannonball.
- Spacebar + Arrow Keys: Press the Spacebar to scroll the screen and view the pirate ships’ positions, helping you plan your shots. Use arrow keys to move the screen if needed.
- Note: The game is turn-based, so you shoot, then the pirates take their turn.
Gameplay
- Aiming and Shooting: Position your crosshair where you think the cannonball will land. The game shows where your last shot hit, so you can adjust for moving targets. Try to hit the pirate ship’s cannon to disable it for a turn, or aim for the crew to reduce their health.
- Health Bars: Both your fort and the pirate ship have health bars. Deplete the enemy’s health to win the level, but watch out—if your fort’s health runs out, you lose.
- Turns: You fire one shot per turn, then the pirates fire back (if their cannon is active).
- Pirate behavior: Ships move closer each round, making them trickier to hit. Later levels introduce bigger ships with more pirates or even airships, upping the challenge.
Upgrades and Coins
- Coins: Earn coins by damaging enemies and winning levels. The more pirates you hit or ships you sink, the more coins you get.
- Upgrades: Spend coins between levels to improve your fort’s defenses or buy new cannons. Available cannons include:
- Shotgun (short-range, cheap),
- Cannon (standard),
- Chain-shot (high damage),
- Sniper Rifle (precise, long-range),
- Angry Cannon (extra punch),
- Explosive Cannon (area damage),
- Controlled Explosion Cannon (precise devastation).
- Fort Upgrades: Boost your fort’s health or repair it to withstand more hits.
