Introduction
Clash of Vikings is a strategic tower defense and battle game that immerses players in the world of Viking warfare. In this game, you take on the role of a Viking commander tasked with leading your warriors to victory by destroying your opponent’s base while defending your own.
The game combines elements of strategy, resource management, and tactical unit placement, drawing inspiration from popular games like “Clash of Clans”. Your goal is to outsmart your opponent by deploying a mix of troops, heroes, and spells to demolish their towers and castle before they do the same to you.
How to play
Game setup
- The battlefield is divided by a river with two bridges connecting your side to the enemy’s. Your base, consisting of a castle and two towers, is on one side, while your opponent’s is on the other.
- You start with a deck of cards representing different Viking units (troops, heroes, and spells) and an elixir bar that regenerates over time.
Using elixir and cards
- Each card in your deck has an elixir cost (e.g., a basic warrior might cost 2 elixir, while a powerful spell costs 5). Elixir regenerates slowly during the match, doubling in speed during the final 60 seconds.
- Your deck typically includes eight cards, though only four are available to play at a time from a tray at the bottom of the screen. Once a card is played, it’s replaced by another from your deck.
- Examples of units include melee warriors, ranged archers, tank-like warlords, and spells like lightning strikes to stun or damage enemies.
Deploying units
- Drag cards from your tray onto your side of the battlefield using your mouse (on PC) or finger (on mobile). You cannot place units directly on the enemy’s side; they must start on your territory and advance across the bridges.
- Units automatically move toward the enemy base, attacking enemy troops or structures they encounter. Position them strategically—near the bridges for an offensive push or closer to your towers for defense.
