Air War 2: 1941 is a mobile-friendly, HTML5-based vertical scrolling shooter game set during World War II. How to play
Controls
- Keyboard (Desktop): Use the arrow keys to move your plane left, right, forward, or backward.
- Touchscreen (Mobile): Use the on-screen joystick (located at the bottom center of the screen) to control your plane’s movement.
- Firing: Your plane shoots automatically, firing straight ahead continuously, so focus on aiming by positioning your aircraft.
Gameplay
- Movement: Navigate your plane across the screen to dodge enemy planes and their attacks. Staying in the middle of the screen is a good strategy, moving forward or backward only to collect items when the screen is clear of enemies.
- Power-Ups: Collect items dropped by enemies or appearing on-screen:
- Coins and Bombs: Increase your score.
- Hearts: Restore your plane’s health.
- Fuel (Gas Containers): Refuel your plane to keep flying.
- Ammo: Enhances your firepower (though shooting is automatic).
- Health and Fuel Management:
- Your plane’s health bar is displayed on the right side of the screen. Collisions with enemy planes or running out of health ends the game.
- Your fuel bar is shown on the left side. Collect gas containers to prevent running out of fuel, which also ends the game.
- Scoring: Your score is based on the number of enemy planes you shoot down. The game displays your current session score and your all-time high score on the welcome screen.
