Introduction
Vex 4 is the fourth installment in the popular Vex series, a fast-paced, stickman platformer game that challenges your reflexes, timing, and problem-solving skills. Developed by Amazing Adam, this game takes the core mechanics of its predecessors and ramps up the difficulty with new features, creative obstacles, and a variety of levels designed to test even the most skilled players.
The game includes 9 main acts, 9 hard mode versions of those acts, a special “Vexation” mode, and an expanding “Challenge Room” that pushes your abilities to the limit. How to play
Controls
- Movement: Use the W.A.S.D keys or the arrow keys:
- W / Up Arrow: Jump
- A / Left Arrow: Move left
- D / Right Arrow: Move right
- S / Down Arrow: Crouch, slide, or enter an act (when standing on an act block)
Gameplay
- Navigate the levels: Each act is a maze of platforms, traps, and hazards. Your goal is to reach the green portal at the end of the level.
- Avoid obstacles: Watch out for spikes, spinning blades, lasers, and other deadly contraptions. Timing is key—move too soon or too late, and you’ll have to restart from the last checkpoint.
- Use Special Moves:
- Jumping: Leap over gaps or onto higher platforms.
- Wall climbing: Jump toward a wall and hold the movement key (A or D / Left or Right) to climb up.
- Sliding: Press S or Down Arrow while moving to slide under low obstacles.
- Swimming: In water sections, use jump and movement keys to swim to the surface before you drown.
- Checkpoints: The game features frequent checkpoints (marked by flags). If you die, you’ll respawn at the last checkpoint you touched.
- Act selection: In the main hub, stand on an act block and press S or Down Arrow to enter that level.
