Introduction
Sling Drift is a fast-paced, addictive driving game that puts your drifting skills to the test. Developed by Tastypill, this game combines simple mechanics with challenging gameplay, making it easy to pick up but tough to master. The objective is straightforward: keep your car on the track for as long as possible, racking up points and collecting gems to unlock new cars.
In the game, your car moves forward automatically, and your only control is to initiate and time drifts using a “sling” mechanism. This unique twist sets it apart from traditional racing games, focusing on precision and reflexes rather than speed or steering. As you progress, the track becomes trickier, with sharper turns and faster speeds, pushing your timing skills to the limit.
How to play
Controls
- Mobile: Tap and hold the screen to start drifting. Release your finger at the right moment to straighten out and continue down the track.
- Desktop: Click and hold the mouse button (or press the spacebar, depending on the platform) to drift, then release to proceed.
- Timing is critical—hold too long, and you’ll crash into the outer wall; release too early, and you’ll hit the inner wall.
Navigate the track
- The track is filled with curves marked by red pivot points (poles or circles). As you approach a turn, activate the sling to latch onto the pivot point, swinging your car around the corner.
- Aim to keep your car centered on the track after each drift for a smooth transition to the next turn.
- As you advance, the turns get sharper and the speed increases, requiring quicker reactions.
