Introduction
4 Colors is typically a digital card game inspired by classic matching games like Uno. It uses a deck of cards divided into four colors (often red, blue, green, and yellow) with numbers and special action cards. Players take turns matching cards by color or number, while special cards add twists to the gameplay, such as skipping turns or forcing opponents to draw more cards.
How to play
Gameplay
- Players take turns in a clockwise direction (unless altered by a Reverse card).
- On your turn, play a card from your hand onto the discard pile that matches either:
- The color of the top card.
- The number or symbol of the top card.
- If you can’t play a card, draw one from the draw pile. If it’s playable, you can use it immediately; otherwise, your turn ends.
Special cards
- Skip: The next player’s turn is skipped.
- Reverse: Changes the direction of play (e.g., clockwise to counterclockwise).
- Draw Two: The next player draws two cards and loses their turn.
- Wild: Allows you to change the current color in play to any color you choose.
- Wild Draw Four: Combines the Wild card effect with forcing the next player to draw four cards and skip their turn (some versions require you to prove you had no other playable card if challenged).
