Introduction
Zombocalypse is an action-packed, side-scrolling zombie shooter developed by IronZilla, originally released as a Flash game in 2011 and later adapted to HTML5. Set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies, you play as a survivor dropped into a chaotic city street, tasked with surviving endless waves of undead. The game combines fast-paced combat, randomized weapon drops, and a simple upgrade system, making it highly addictive. Your goal is to kill as many zombies as possible, rack up combos, and survive for as long as you can while earning points and unlocking achievements.
How to play
Controls
- Movement: Use the Left and Right Arrow Keys or WASD to move your character horizontally.
- Pick Up Items: Press the Down Arrow Key to collect weapon crates, health packs, or upgrades that drop from the sky.
- Attack: Press the Spacebar to shoot firearms or swing your machete (default weapon when no gun is equipped).
- Call for Help: Press the Up Arrow Key to trigger airstrikes at 25, 50, or 100 kill combos (clears zombies on one side).
Gameplay
- Zombies:
- Green Zombies: Slow and weak, easy to kill.
- Purple Zombies: Fast and aggressive, dangerous up close.
- Brown Stalkers: Slow but tough, deal heavy damage.
- Weapon Drops: Crates fall randomly, containing weapons like:
- Mini Gun: High fire rate, great range, but slows movement. Avoid picking up near purple zombies, as it’s ineffective at close range.
- Flamethrower: Deals splash damage, fast movement, high damage.
- Riot Shield: Melee weapon, makes you invulnerable but slows you down.
- Sniper Rifle, Chaingun, and others vary in range and power.
- Health and upgrades: Collect health packs to restore your health bar. Killing zombies earns experience points for upgrades like better weapons or health.
- Combos and airstrikes: Chain kills to build combos. At 25, 50, or 100 kills, call airstrikes to clear one side, giving you breathing room
